Sikeston First Church of the Nazarene has been in existence since 1925. Her organization was the result of a very successful tent revival held by Rev. CJ Frost and Rev. JE Smith. And in 1926, 44 charter members joined with Rev. JL Cox and purchased property to establish a Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston, MO. The original location for the church building was on the corner of Scott and Trotter Streets.

Our church continued to grow as they ministered to the community of Sikeston, and in 1973, under the leadership of Rev. Coy Presson, made the move to purchase property and an existing building on North Main St., which is our current location still today. The move to this new campus included the construction of an educational wing, which basically doubled the classroom space.

In 1981, under the leadership of Rev. Harol Wright, ground was broken for the construction of a gymnasium/fellowship hall. It was dedicated in memory of a previous pastor, Rev. JW Hoffert, who served Sikeston First and the Sikeston Community for 21 years.

SFNaz, as we have come to be known, has a rich history of service in the Sikeston community and God has honored her faithfulness through the years. We are focused on connecting people to the heartbeat of God: Loving God and Loving Others. And we believe that if we get this right, God’s future for His church in Sikeston will be bright.

As we look back over these past years, we can see God at work in so many ways. All of the changed lives, the needs met, and the successes are a testament to God's working in and through His faithful people. It's His church. He's just given all of us a great opportunity to partner with Him as He works in our lives and in the communities we have

the privilege to serve.

Maybe you’d like to be a part of that story. Won’t you come join us?
